Ab Initio Cadet Pilot for Singapore Airlines


SIA is recruiting Ab Initio Cadet Pilots in Singapore. To apply, you will need to meet the following requirements:


  • Educational qualification of GCE ‘A’ level, Diploma, or Degree. Otherwise, you must have obtained a minimum of 5 GCE ‘O’ Level credits. These must include English, Mathematics, and a Science subject, taken in one sitting
  • Myopia of not more than 600 degrees and astigmatism of not more than 200 degrees, fully correctable with optical aids
  • Minimum height requirement of 1.62m to carry out safety and emergency procedures on board

 

Training

Successful candidates will be trained to acquire either an Airline Transport Pilot’s License (ATPL) with Instrument Rating (IR) or a Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) at Singapore Flying College in Singapore and overseas. Upon obtaining the ATPL or MPL, you will undergo further training to become a First Officer.


Remuneration and Service Benefits

A monthly allowance will be provided during your training phase. On appointment as a First Officer, you will enjoy an attractive salary, along with various allowances and benefits.


Bond

Successful candidates will be required to serve for the duration of the training and for a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as First Officer.

PSA Airlines Cadet Program

PSA is one of the first regional airlines to launch its Cadet Program to help the most promising future pilots make a smooth transition from the classroom to the cockpit.  The Cadet Program initiative is just another way PSA Airlines offers the most comprehensive benefits to its pilots.  PSA Airlines is the fastest-growing regional airline in the country.  It has also the fastest upgrade time in the industry and a true pilot-flow-through agreement with American Airlines, so your career as a mainline pilot can start here.


Qualifications:

  • Must have at least a private pilot certificate
  • Must be a current flight student OR CFI, actively instructing
  • No more than three check ride failures
  • No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be negligent on behalf of the pilot/aviator.
  • Ability to obtain a First Class Medical
  • Ability to obtain a Valid Passport
  • Ability to obtain FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit
  • Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualification under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements
  • Cadets eligible for a R-ATP (1000 or 1250 hours), must have no more than 700 hours
  • Cadets requiring ATP (1500 hours), must have no more than 1000 hours
  • If hired, you must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English


Program Overview

  • Your eligibility begins once you complete your Private Pilot Certificate.
  • Successfully completed an interview with PSA to become a Cadet in the program.
    • Cadets are offered numerous opportunities, including mentorship with airline industry experts and 
      internships.
  • Upon completion of your Senior Cadet Interview, you are eligible for tuition reimbursement paid to you as follows:
    • $5,000 after the Senior Cadet Interview
    • $5,000 after the next rating or license (usually multi or CFI)
    • $5,000 at time building (when they are within 500 hours of ATP minimums)
      • Total: $15,000
  • Upon hire, you are also eligible for a new hire bonus paid as follows:
    • $10,000 after successful completion of IOE
    • $5,000 after one year since date of hire
      • Total: $15,000

  • ATP-CTP Course paid upon reaching ATP/R-ATP minimum flight experience requirements.
    • PSA will pay for the ATP-CTP course (valued at $5,000) for qualified candidates needing to complete the ATP written exam before new hire training.
    • Hotel accommodations and ground transportation during the ATP-CTP course will be provided.
  • Get placed into the next available class at PSA upon reaching your minimums, no additional interview is required.
  • Flow-through to American Airlines with no additional interview, once completing requirements at PSA.
